All District 196 stakeholders are invited to attend one of three meetings Nov. 15, 16 and 17 to get information about facilities, equipment and space needs in District 196, and provide feedback on possible improvements being considered to meet those needs in the state’s fourth largest school district.
Independent School District 196 is ranked fourth of the 50 Minnesota employers that made Forbes’ annual list of Best-in-State Employers for 2022.

Hack will finish this school year at Diamond Path and take over at Pinewood starting July 1. She will replace Principal Crisfor Town, who is retiring.
Please complete the annual update of your child’s emergency contacts and parent preferred email addresses on the Infinite Campus Parent Portal.
In these unusual times of Hybrid and Distance learning we'd love for our community to be able to connect with each other! Please go to the Pinewood PTO website and add your family to our school directory. If you include your information by Friday, October 23rd, you will be included in our drawing for Pinewood swag for your student.
Quick Start Guides are being issued with the iPads and are also available online. The Quick Start Guide is available in English, Spanish and Somali. Parents can use this guide to identify their child's password and connect the iPad to WiFi.
What happens if the iPad issued by the school gets damaged? In previous years the district offered an Optional Protection Plan for $20/device. However the decision was made to automatically enroll ALL iPads in this coverage at no cost to families for the 2020-21 school year.
